Puppies and chewing

Chewing is normal. Here's how to guide it toward toys and away from your furniture.

Puppies explore the world with their mouths, especially while teething. The goal isn't to stop chewing — it's to redirect it.

What helps

  • Plenty of chew toys within reach
  • Bitter apple cider vinegar spray on furniture
  • Praise every good choice

What to avoid

Avoid punishment. Calmly swap the shoe for a toy and praise them when they take it.
